ගුරුඑල්කේ ඩොට් කොම් කියන්නේ අන්තර්ජාලය ඔස්සේ සිංහල භාෂාවෙන් තොරතුරු තාක්ෂණය පිළිබදව බොහෝ දෑ නොමිලේ ඉගෙන ගත හැකි, වීඩීයෝ පාඩම්, තාක්ෂණික ලිපි, තාක්ෂණික මාර්ගෝපදේශක සහ නොමිලේ සහභාගීවිය හැකි ස්වයං අධ්යයන සබැදි පාඨමාලා වලින් අන්තර්ගත සමාජීය වෙබ් ව්යාපෘතියකි.මෙම වෙබ් අඩවියේ මූලික අරමුණ වන්නේ සිංහල බසින් තොරතුරු තාක්ෂණය ඉගෙන ගැනීමට අවස්ථාව සැලසීමයි. සාමාන්යයෙන් තොරතුරු තාක්ෂණය කියන්නේ ඉංග්රීසි භාෂාවෙන් අධ්යයනය කිරීමට සිදුවන විෂය ක්ශේත්රයක්. එමෙන්ම ඉංග්රීසි මාධ්යයෙන් තොරතුරු තාක්ෂණය ඉගෙනගත හැකි වෙබ් අඩවි අතිවිශාල සංඛ්යාවක් අන්තර්ජාලයේදී අපට හමු වෙනවා. මේවා මගින් ගුණාත්මයෙන් ඉතා උසස් තාක්ෂණික දැනුමක් ඉංග්රීසි මාධ්යයෙන් ඉගෙන ගන්නා පරිශීලකයින්ට ලබා දෙනවා.මේ නිසා ඉංග්රීසි භාෂාව පිළිබද ඇති දැනුම තොරතුරු හා සන්නිවේදන තාක්ෂණය ඉගෙන ගැනීමට අතිශයින්ම වැදගත් වෙනවා.
එසේ නමුත් අප රටේ සිට්න සියලු පුරවැසියන්ගේ ඉංග්රීසි භාෂා දැනුම උසස් මට්ටමක නැති බව රහසක් නොවෙයි. බොහෝ දෙනා හට ඉංග්රීසි හාෂාව කියවීමට හෝ තේරුම් ගැනීමට හැකියාවක් නැත. ඉංග්රීසි භාෂාව පිළබදව ඇති දුර්වලතාවය නිසා තොරතුරු තාක්ෂණය වැනි අතිශය වැදගත් ක්ශේත්රයකින් ඔවුන් දුරස්කොට තබා බලා සිටිය නොහැක. එබැවින් කළයුත්තේ හැකි පමණින් කාටත් තේරුම්ගත හැකි භාෂාවකින් තොරතුරු තාක්ෂණය ඔවුන්ට කියාදීමය.මේ මගින් අප රටේ පුරවැසියන්ගේ තොරතුරු තාක්ෂණය පිළිබද සාක්ෂරතාවය ඉතා ඉහළ මට්ටමකට ගෙන ඒමට හැකිවන බව මාගේ හැගීමයි.
කෙසේ නමුත් එලෙස සියල්ල අවසන් කළ නොහැක. සිංහල භාෂාවෙන් පමණක් තොරතුරු තාක්ෂණය වැනි විෂයක් වැඩිදුර ඉගෙන ගැනීම අපහසුය. එය මෙම ක්ශේත්රය තුළ ඉදිරියට යෑමට කිසිසේත්ම ප්රමාණවත් නොවේ.එබැවින් සිංහලෙන් තොරතුරු තාක්ෂණය ඉගෙන ගන්නා අතරතුර ඉංග්රීසි භාෂාව පිලිබදව ඇති දැනුම වැඩිකර ගැනීම සිදුකළ යුතුය. එවිට ඔබටත් තොරතුරු තාක්ෂණ ක්ශේත්රයේ ප්රවීණයෙකු වීම තවදුරටත් සිහිනයක් නොවනු ඇත.
GURULK.COM is an E-Learning project, which enables Sri Lankan community to explore the world of Information Technology. Its primary objective is to provide free but quality IT education to every Sri Lankan. The Government of Sri Lanka has declared the year 2009 as the “Year of IT and English”. This motivated all parties who are in the IT sector to do something for the country to develop IT skills of the community. The government it self has initiated many projects to facilitate the development of IT industry. These projects have done a phenomenal contribution to the development of the industry.
But we suppose that the development process of the IT industry is hindered by few barriers. The main hindrance is the English language. Still in Sri Lanka English language knowledge is not in a high standard. Especially in rural areas of the country this is more common to be found.
Therefore “the Localization” in IT industry has become very important in the process of its development. GURULK.COM is an attempt of that IT localization. We are trying to popularize Information Technology among the local community. We suppose, teaching IT in local languages would help to popularize it among the locals. This is our primary objective of this project.
Secondarily, we are trying to establish an e-learning community in Sri Lanka. E-learning has become one of the main streams of education in the world now. Sri Lankan community is new to e-learning theories. So we believe this is the best time to popularize e-learning and distance learning among the local community. Building an e-learning community would help to develop the knowledge of the community.
This web site publishes large number of free video tutorials, demonstrations, study guides articles which would improve the IT knowledge of beginners, students, employees of the government and the private sector and indeed IT professionals. gurulk.com web site provides distance education through its online course system. Also those who are willing to study further can purchase Training materials online. ජංගම දුරකථන භාවිතා කරන පරිශිලකයින්ට අපගේ වෙබ් අඩවියට පිවිසීමට දැන් හැකියාව ඇත. මෑතකදී වෙබ් අඩවියේ සිදුකරන ලද තාක්ෂණික වෙනස්කම් සහ සංස්කරණයන් හේතුකොට ගෙන මෙම වෙබ් අඩවියට WAP 2.0 තාක්ෂණය සහිත ඕනෑම ජංගම දුරකථණයක් ඔස්සේ පිවිසීමට හැක. එසේ නමුත් ජංගම දුරකථන භාවිතා කර පිවිසෙන පරිශීලකයින්ට වෙබ් අඩවිය තුල ඇති වීඩියෝ පාඩම් නැරඹීමට හැකියාවක් නැත. මෙම ගැටලුවට පිලියමක් ලෙස වෙබ් අඩවියට නව අංගයක් ලෙස වැප් වෙබ් අඩවියක් එකතු කිරීමට සිතුවෙමි. මෙම වැප් (Wireless Application Protocol) වෙබ් අඩවියට වැඩි වශයෙන් ඇතුලත් කිරීමට බලාපොරත්තු වන්නේ තාක්ෂණික ලිපිය. ඊට අමතරව 3GP වර්ගයේ වීඩියෝ සහ MP3 (mpeg-3 Audio) වර්ගයේ ශ්රවණය කළ හැකි ලිපිගොනු ඇතුලත් කිරීමද සිදු කරනු ලැබේ. මෙම වැප් වෙබ් අඩවිය පරිගණකය ඔස්සේ ද පිවිසීමට හැකි වන පරිදි සකස් කරනු ලැබේ. එමගින් ජංගම දුරකථනය ඔස්සේ බාගත කිරීමට අපහසු 3gp සහ mp3 ලිපිගොනු පහසුවෙන් බාගත කිරීම සිදුකර ගත හැකි වේ.
